Emigrant Information Pack 2013

The Irish Episcopal Council for Emigrants (IECE) has published an Emigrant Information Pack for 2013. The Information Pack aims to assist parishes and dioceses in raising awareness about the issues affecting emigrants and to ask for the prayers and support of parishioners.

The Resource Pack includes emigration statistics, ways to remember emigrants in your parish and in the home, prayers of intercession, homily notes and Prayers for Emigrants.

Prayers for Emigrants

A bookmark with prayers for Irish Emigrants and those who are far from home. These are available from the Irish Episcopal Council for Emigrants for parishes, prayer groups or individuals.

Emigration Statistics:

A report released by the Central Statistics Office in September 2012 provided details of the number of people who emigrated between April 2011 and April 2012.

Information Pack for Emigrants

IECE have produced an information pack for Emigrants ahead of St Patrick’s Day to assist those emigrating and the families and friends who remain at home. The pack includes stories from Irish emigrants about their personal experiences of emigration and stories from those who work to support Irish emigrants and prayers for emigrants.
