I wish to extend my sincere condolences to all members of the Catholic faith in Ireland, and across the world, on the sad passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.
Pope Benedict’s thought leadership and his very significant contribution to Catholic theology is widely recognised, and will undoubtedly be missed by all those who valued his many years of dedicated service to the global Church, and a lifetime of service to others.
My thoughts are with Pope Benedict’s family, Pope Francis and all who mourn his sad loss at this time.
