Crosscare to launch new youth project in Ballymun

09 Oct 2015

The Crosscare Ballymun Garda Youth Diversion Project (GYDP) will launch its new youth project on Saturday 10th October at The Lighthouse (off the Silloge Road) at 12:00 noon.

The Ballymun GYDP has been operating in the area for over two years.  The launch will include the official naming of the project by the Ballymun Youth Block, with the young people involved agreeing that the name should reflect the identity of the area.

Special guests will include a number of high-profile Dublin GAA footballers who will present Gaisce awards to young people and join in celebrating the great work and achievements of the Ballymun GYDP to date.  The event will take place from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm and is a family fun day with food, entertainment and music provided for those that attend.

Local footballers James McCarthy, Dean Rock, Eoin O’Gara and Philly McMahon are among those due to make an appearance on Saturday.  Entertainment will include bouncy castles, face-painting, music and presentations.
