Cardinal Brady welcomes appointment of Reverend Ivan Patterson as the next Moderator of the Presbyterian Church

Cardinal Seán Brady, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, today welcomed the appointment of Reverend Ivan Patterson as the next Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.  Cardinal Brady said:

“I would like to congratulate Rev Ivan Patterson on his election as the next Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.  The leaders of the four main Christian Churches in Ireland meet regularly during the year to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern and to witness to our shared commitment to the Good News of Jesus Christ.   I look forward to working closely with him when he takes up office as Moderator in June and I wish Rev Patterson every blessing and success in this new ministry.”
