On Monday, February 15th, Benedict XVI began his two-day encounter with bishops from the Irish Episcopal Conference, who will present their initiatives in regard to the Churchs situation in the country. The Popes pastoral letter to the ecclesial community was at the centre of the encounter.The meeting began in the Bologna Hall at the Vatican and will continue until tomorrow. Before the audience with Benedict XVI, the Bishops celebrated Mass, presided over by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of State, in the Vatican Grottoes.
