ISSUED ON BEHALF OF THE RADHARC TRUST BY THE CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE

On the eve of ‘EU Enlargement Day’, the President of the European Parliament,

Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 at 2.00pm tomorrow, Friday 30 April 2004. The

The Radharc Award was established in 2002 for ‘a television documentary

The Award honours the memory of the late Fr Joe Dunn, co-founder of Radharc
which produced over 400 television documentaries on social and religious
issues at home and abroad between 1962 and 1996, and throughout those 34
years became part of the fabric of RTE Television.

The inaugural Award was presented in 2002 by President Mary McAleese for
the Prime Time programme ‘Complex Problems: St Teresa’s Gardens’ produced
by Eddie Doyle of RTE.

Over 40 entries were received for the Radharc Award 2004, and the Chairman
