Words of condolence of Archbishop Michael Neary on the death of Mrs Eithne Kenny, RIP, mother of An Taoiseach Mr Enda Kenny TD

As a wife and mother Eithne Kenny was a lady that was held in high esteem.  Mrs Kenny was always a very dignified and gracious lady.

Although her family, her late husband Henry and her sons An Taoiseach Enda and councillor Henry have been in public life all these years, Eithne herself was a very private person, a woman of deep faith, devoted to her family and enabling them to make their significant contribution to our country in so many ways.

Joining with the priests of the Archdiocese – I offer my sincere sympathy and the support of my prayers to An Taoiseach, Enda, to John, Henry, Kieran and Marie and to the extended family.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.
