Website Resources for IEC 2012

01 Jun 2011

Resources for use on diocesan and parish websites and social media pages to promote the 50th International Eucharistic Congress and the third National Collection

Photographs: There is a large selection of images available on the Eucharistic Congress FLICKR photo sharing page. These include images of the launch, the bell pilgrimage and general images to promote the various stages in the pastoral programme. The FLICKR page can be accessed from the IEC2012 website – www.iec2012.ie.

Logo and web buttons: The official Congress logo and web buttons are available on request. They were made available to Diocesan Communications Officers on a memory stick at a recent meeting of DCOs in Maynooth, so they should also be available locally.

Video: There are a number of videos available now on the IEC2012 website and YouTube pages. These include the promotional video for the Congress, a video which shows highlights of the official launch of Congress earlier this year and there is also a video reflection of the official congress prayer which would work as a more reflective item on a parish or diocesan website

Audio: There are audio clips available on the Eucharistic Congress Audioboo page and on the Catholic Bishops page – see www.audioboo.fm or follow the links from www.catholicbishops.ie and www.iec2012.ie.

Text and articles for websites: At this stage the website for the Congress is very well developed and there is information and news snippets which may be used on parish and diocesan websites.

Social Media Pages: All of the aforementioned resources may be shared on social media pages. Dioceses and parishes are also encouraged to link in with the conversations on the IEC2012 Twitter and Facebook pages – the links are available on the home page at www.iec2012.ie.
