Eucharistic Celebration to mark the 23rd anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s Election and Inauguration

On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the Election (16th October 1978) and Solemn Inauguration of the Pontificate of His Holiness Pope John Paul II (22nd October 1978) the Apostolic Nuncio in Ireland, Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto will preside at the Eucharistic celebration at St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Dublin, on Sunday 21st October 2001 at 11.00 am.

This is a fitting occasion for all the Catholic Communities in Ireland to join together in thanking God for the many gifts which has been bestowed on his Church through the Pope and to implore the continued assistance of the Holy Spirit on the pastoral ministry of the successor of Peter.
