Clerical appointments Diocese of Achonry

Bishop Brendan Kelly, Bishop of Achonry Diocese, has announced the following Diocesan appointments

  • Very Reverend James Canon Finan PP Keash and Culfadda to be CC Collooney
  • Very Reverend Patrick Lynch PE to be Priest-in-Residence, Kiltimagh
  • Reverend Gabriel Murphy CC Kiltimagh to be PP Keash and Culfadda.
  • Reverend Paul Kivlehan, newly ordained, to be CC Ballaghaderreen.

The changes take effect from Saturday 7 September.  Bishop Kelly invites the priests and people of the diocese to pray for all who are involved in these changes and to ask God’s blessing on their ministry in the Diocese of Achonry.

Very Reverend Patrick Lynch PE, refers to the Latin Phrase “Pastor Emeritus” (e-mer-I-tus) since he retired as Parish Priest last year and will now be a Priest in Residence in Kiltimagh Parish.

There are twenty-three parishes in the Diocese of Achonry, eleven in Co. Mayo, eleven in Co. Sligo and one in Co. Roscommon.
