Ireland’s Churches to host care for creation conference in Newry

You, or a representative, are invited to attend a care for creation conference tomorrow, ‘Let Justice Flow Like Rivers’, hosted by Ireland’s Christian Churches.  Details:  

Where   Canal Court Hotel, Newry, Co Down
When    Saturday 
17 January 2026, 10.00am to 3.30pm 
Who      Speakers will include Dr Hillary Marlow, Dr Gail Heffner, Dr Jim McAdam, Andrew Muir, Minister for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs NI, lay people sharing experience of their local congregations in terms of creation care, and, clergy from Christian denominations.  

According to Rev Dr Karen Campbell, General Secretary of the Irish Council of Churches, “Our conference will enable Christians to consider the power of collective action in caring for God’s creation.  Motivated by concern for the pollution of our loughs and rivers, theologians, scientists, civic leaders, farmers, clergy and lay people will come together tomorrow to talk about our responsibility to care for our common home.  We are looking forward to hear inspirational stories of hope and local action.”
