Bishop Denis Nulty congratulates new Church of Ireland Bishop Adrian Wilkinson of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory

Please see the following statement of welcome and congratulations from Bishop Denis Nulty, Apostolic Administrator of Ossory, on the election of the new Church of Ireland Bishop Adrian Wilkinson of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory:

“On behalf of the people of faith in the Diocese of Ossory, I warmly welcome the appointment of Bishop Adrian Wilkinson as the new Church of Ireland Bishop of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory.  Ours is a long tradition of close ecumenical collaboration between the Dioceses and I look forward to the continuation of that as Bishop Adrian moves to Kilkenny in the service of his people and in making his home there.

“I assure Bishop Adrian of my prayers, in the weeks and months ahead, as he settles into his new ministry, responding again positively to the Lord’s call.  I pray, then, the Lord’s guidance and blessings for him at this time and I know that he will be warmly welcomed in his new Dioceses, and in these counties.  Personally, I look forward to our many moments of continued close collaboration as we journey with our peoples in faith.”
