- 18:30 Christmas Eve 24 December 2007 RTÉ1: CAROLS FOR CHRISTMAS
- Hundreds of singers, including Cór na nÓg, join the RTÉ Concert Orchestra under the baton of David Brophy for a delightful seasonal hour of Christmas music and readings. Soloists include Tommy Fleming, Emmanuel Lawler, Naomi O’Connell, Gerard Byrne (of Fair City) and Helen Norton. The programme is hosted by Mary Kennedy.
- 23:05 Christmas Eve 24 December RTÉ1: CHRISTMAS MIDNIGHT MASS
- Mount Argus Church, Dublin, where the shrine of the newly canonised
St Charles of Mount Argus lies, is the venue for RTÉ’s annual Christmas Midnight Mass. The Tallaght Choral Society and an orchestra conducted by Comdt. Mark Armstrong with soprano Colette Boushell perform Haydn’s Organ Mass. The celebrant is Most Rev. Éamonn Walsh, Auxiliary Bishop of Dublin.

- The Archbishops of Armagh, Cardinal Seán Brady and Archbishop Alan Harper,
deliver their annual Christmas message and greeting to the people of Ireland.
RTE Television’s religious programmes for Christmas will be available live on the RTE website: www.rte.ie
The televised carols programme at 6.30pm on Christmas Eve on RTE 1, “Carols for Christmas,” will also be available online for up to a week after Christmas.
