PRESS RELEASE28 NOVEMBER 2005FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR BISHOP JAMES MCLOUGHLIN R.I.PThe Diocese of Galway has today issued details of the funeral arrangements for Bishop James McLoughlin R.I.P., who died on Friday 25th November: Monday 28th November: Remains arriving to the Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas, Galway, at 7.00pm. Most Rev Martin Drennan, Bishop of Galway, will receive the remains and lead evening prayer. Remains will repose in the Cathedral until 9.00pm. Tuesday 29th November: Bishop McLoughlin's remains will repose in the Cathedral from 9.00am until 9.00pm. Wednesday 30th November: Concelebrated Requiem Mass will take place at 1.00pm in the Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven and St Nicholas. Most Rev Martin Drennan, Bishop of Galway will be Chief Celebrant and will preach the homily. Bishop McLoughlin will be laid to rest in the Cathedral Crypt.
