The Church leaders were Cardinal Seán Brady, Archbishop Alan Harper, Reverend Donald Ker and Reverend Dr Stafford Carson and areas covered at the meeting included the importance of developing community policing, the current security situation and anti-social behaviour in our society.

This book, which was launched by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, is based on the papers delivered at the conference of the same name, which was organised by the ICJSA, on 18 February 2008. The editor is Rev Dr Eoin Cassidy, Head of the Philosophy Department at Mater Dei Institute, Dublin City University, and Chair of the ICJSA International sub-group.
