Images from the Episcopal ordination of Right Reverend Monsignor Liam MacDaid as Bishop of Clogher. The ceremony took place at 3pm on Sunday 25 July 2010 at St Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan. Consecrating bishops were Cardinal Seán Brady, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, Bishop Noel Treanor, Bishop of Down and Connor and Bishop Joseph Duffy, Bishop of Clogher.

The Archbishop Emeritus of Westminster, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor was the guest speaker at the Maynooth Union Celebrations on Tuesday 15 June 2010. The address was written and the invitation extended prior to his appointment by the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI as the apostolic visitor for the Archdiocese of Armagh.
Images from a seminar to mark the Year for Priests hosted on 27 May 2010 by St Patrick\'s College, Maynooth, with the cooperation of the Irish Episcopal Conference. The principal speaker was Archbishop Timothy M Dolan, Archbishop of New York. His lecture was entitled: God is the Only Treasure People Desire to Find in a Priest.

Images from a Conference on Catholic Schools entitled Catholic Schools: Envisioning a Future which was held in Loughboy, Co Kilkenny, on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 May. Cardinal Seán Brady delivered the keynote address and the event was organised by the Diocese of Ossory Adult Faith Development Group.
Images of the visit of the Relics of St John Vianney to Armagh Cathedral on Wednesday 28 April 2010. Mass was led by Cardinal Sean Brady who was joined by Bishops Gerard Clifford, Seamus Hegarty, Leo O Reilly, and Anthony Farquhar. The theme of the Mass was the Eucharist and Pastoral Leadership.
The Cathedral was full to capacity and there was a constant stream of visitors throughout the day. Confessions were heard until the evening Mass which was celebrated by Bishop Gerard Clifford and the Auxiliary Bishop of Down and Connor, Donal McKeown. The relics were available for veneration all day and they departed Armagh after the evening Mass.

Bishop Willie Walsh, Bishop of Killaloe, ordained two students from the Pontifical Irish College, Rome as deacons on Easter Monday, 5 April 2010. Gerard Jones (27) and Damian McCaughan (30) were ordained in the Basilica of St John Lateran in Rome.
The parents and family member of both deacons travelled from Ireland to be at the ceremony. Gerard Jones is the son of Nicholas and Chrissie Jones from O’Brien’s Bridge, Co Clare. Damian McCaughan is the son of Anthony and Iverna McCaughan from Coleraine, Co Derry.

The CURA Annual Conference 2010 was held in Athlone, Co Westmeath on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March. The themes of the conference were: Adoption as an option in crisis pregnancy counselling and The role of the father in crisis pregnancy counselling.
