A movement for the renewal of the permanent diaconate in the Catholic Church. A registered association supported by lay people, theologians, deacons, priests and bishops throughout the world. A centre which collects transmits and inspires diaconate initiatives and experiences through-out the world
The National Association of Deacon Organisations (NADO) NADO was founded in 1990. The organisation was inspired by the pastoral visit of Pope John Paul II to Detroit in 1987. The stated purpose of the organisation is to foster a sense of community on a national level and to develop effective means for deacons to minister to one another. Members of the Association meet in convention annually.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it NADD was founded by a group of diocesan directors of the diaconate on 6 February 1976. The purposes of the organisation are to serve as a documentation and resource centre, to develop professional expertise, promote research, training, and self-evaluation procedures, and to facilitate communication with the Bishops' Committee on the Diaconate. The Association is incorporated under the laws of Illinois and has its executive office in Rockford.
