World Migrant and Refugee Sunday – 20 January 2013

World Migrant and Refugee Sunday – 13 January 2013
Theme: “Migrations: Pilgrimage of faith and hope.”

For parishes celebrating their diversity and wanting to think creatively about diversity and inclusion, the theme and message of World Migrant Sunday have much to offer. World Migrant and Refugee Sunday is an ideal time for parishes to celebrate immigrants, refugees and people seeking asylum in our communities. The Council for Immigrants has prepared a resource for parishes to celebrate World Migrant and Refugee Sunday on January 20 2013. The resource contains a copy of His Holiness Benedict VI message for World Migrant and Refugee Sunday, Irish immigration statistics, liturgy and homily suggestions for parishes to use. It also contains information on how to get involved with the work of the Council for Immigrants and invites parishes to join our Parish Pilot Programme. For further information on our work, please contact us [email protected] or go to our website www.councilforimmigrants.ie.
